This was the first time and probably the last time I will buy this author. The book summary was good which convinced me to purchase this book along with the reviews. However it was a struggle for me to read and finish this book. My first instinct was to buy a cheaper book first before this $6.99 one but I took a chance. That being said the main character X was a weak and insecure guy. I could have dealt with that but he had no strong qualities. There wasn't a back story that told why he was like that except a very brief mention of his relationships with dad, mom and grandmother. The female lead was okay and her friend Christian was okay but nothing special. I don't mean to be vague but their wasn't anything special about any of the characters, maybe I'm being picky as the other reviewers seem to love it but I thought it was just okay.

Most sports romance/suspense books have main characters that are strong and include a little more sports but this book failed to draw me in as I continued to read but I finished it because of what I paid. Also not to give away the ending but it failed to wrap up comments made by the sister or what they decided to do about the relationship.
You'll enjoy following Xavier & Doc/Frankie, left fielder & doc of the team as she tries to help him recover.
Xavier does start out as a class a jerk, but I love that Frankie puts him in his place! Morgan has a knack for telling a great love story and she does it again in this one! I highly recommend any book by her!
I must say I do believe I am team Xavier all the way! What a great story. Just goes to show that even the "bad boys" can be redeemed. ;)
I loved this book. I really get into my book reading but this series really got me hooked. I read the whole series in a few days. Everybody should read this book and the whole series.
I am hesitant to to try new authors but I am glad I gave this one a chance. I like sports romance but so many fall flat...this one was great. A good story that had strong main characters with just the right amount of tension. I will definitely read this author again..she is one of the better sports romance writers and I have tried them all!
Despite the fact that Xavier is a total JERK I really enjoyed this read. From the beginning and the way that the story evolves is well written. I loved the characters, especially Frankie. Through her Xavier finds out that he isn't the only one with 'disabilities' in his life is an eye opener for Xavier which helps him face his past and over come his anger towards the world. Lovely read!
