Beyond the Call of Duty is intended as a two hour preview to a series which adds the element of The Fugitive. The “Twist”? The hero returns to life in the body of his killer. The body is guilty and pursed while the soul is innocent.
This is the story of Ike, a policeman killed in the line of duty, who comes back as a ghost who can only be seen and heard by Charlie, a seemingly insane homeless man horribly disfigured in Vietnam who had passed half-way through to the other world and is thus able to see ghosts. Ike and Charlie team up to go “undercover” to fight crime, to protect Ike’s family and to discover Ike’s killer.
